The Diet Period to Avoid Gallbladder Attacks

by Balazs

Diet brought me calm nights.

I had started to follow my rules but I had to go on diet. Water, toast, radish. I didn't have anything else in my stomach for 3 days.

I ate 3 frankfurters with French fries on the 4th day. Guess what happened! I had a gallbladder attack.

3 more days of diet. I was scared a little bit. I have some doubts about my strategy and rules. After 3 more days, I was sure that I just had to wait.

I started to eat frankfurters with French fries again. I was slow, very slow. I drank soda-pop after my lunch then I was waiting. And I didn't have any gallbladder attacks! I felt something maybe it was just my gallstones coughing or something.

I would say that the recommended diet should be 5-7 days then you can give it a try.

If you don't get better please consider gallbladder removal.

Cooking a vegetable soup

Welcome Friend!

My name is Balazs and I have gallstones. I had 7 bilious attacks (5 in the first week). I had only 2 in the last 4 months. I show you how I do it.

Balazs

  • Age: 36
  • Diagnosis: 2 or more gallstones
  • Symptom since: February 1, 2014
  • My goal: to become asymptomatic without operation

Your stones, your responsibility

Thank you for following my experiment! Please keep in mind that doctors would never suggest my strategy. It's my body and my responsibility.

Gallstones - Prevention

Eat radish! Radish should be your favorite vegetable.

I want to avoid gallbladder surgery!

Gallstones - Treatment

Medical treatment:

  • Oral ursodeoxycholic acid
  • Lithotripsy

Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal):

  • Open cholecystectomy
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

My strategy:

  • To eat radish and fat whenever I can
  • To consider it as a lifestyle, not a treatment
  • To believe in me
