Spinach with Cocoa

I've reached the limit. No spinach with cocoa.

I had finished my short diet. After a few weeks I felt I can manage everything so I ate spinach cream. The weather was really hot and I wanted to drink something cold but only the milk was in the refrigerator. I drunk three glasses of cocoa.

I almost forgot to tell that I ate a frankfurter too. Probably this combination is really heavy: spinach, frankfurter and cocoa.

My gallstones were crying. Even if I wouldn't have gallstones, I would have been really sick after eating this combination.

I ate it around 7pm, so this was my other mistake. I ate radish after it but there was no magic to bring my salvation. My gallstones taught me the lesson.

Spinach: Do not eat it with cocoa!

Welcome Friend!

My name is Balazs and I have gallstones. I had 7 bilious attacks (5 in the first week). I had only 2 in the last 4 months. I show you how I do it.

  • Age: 37
  • Diagnosis: 2 or more gallstones
  • Symptom since: February 1, 2014
  • My goal: to become asymptomatic without operation

Your stones, your responsibility

Thank you for following my experiment! Please keep in mind that doctors would never suggest my strategy. It's my body and my responsibility.

Gallstones - Prevention

Eat radish! Radish should be your favorite vegetable.

I want to avoid gallbladder surgery!

Gallstones - Treatment

Medical treatment:

  • Oral ursodeoxycholic acid
  • Lithotripsy

Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal):

  • Open cholecystectomy
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

My strategy:

  • To eat radish and fat whenever I can
  • To consider it as a lifestyle, not a treatment
  • To believe in me
